LEPAKSHI
Description | The Veerabhadra temple is in Lepakshi in the Anantapur district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Built in the 16th century, the architectural features of the temple are in the Vijayanagara style with profusion of carvings and paintings at almost every exposed surface of the temple. The fresco paintings are particularly detailed in very bright dresses and colours with scenes of Rama and Krishna from the epic stories of the Ramayana, the Mahabharata and the Puranas and they are well preserved. There is a very large Nandi, mount of Shiva, about 200 metres away from the temple which is carved from a single block of stone, which is said to be one of the largest of its type in the world. |

Somnathpur
Description | Somnathpur is a Grama Panchayat and town in the Mysore district in Karnataka, India. Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary
Description | Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary is a bird sanctuary in the Mandya District of the state of Karnataka in India. It is the largest bird sanctuary in the state and comprises six islets on the banks of the Kaveri river. Description | The Biligirirangana Hills, commonly called BR Hills, is a hill range situated in south-eastern Karnataka, at its border with Tamil Nadu in South India. The area is called Biligiriranganatha Swamy Temple Wildlife Sanctuary or simply BRT Wildlife Sanctuary. It is a protected reserve under the Wildlife Protection Act of 1972. Being at the starting point of the Eastern Ghats and very close to Western Ghats, the sanctuary is home to eco-systems that are unique to both the mountain ranges. Description | Avani is known for the Sita temple situated on a hill.This temple is one of the few temples dedicated to Sitadevi in India. Bannerghatta National Park
Description | Bannerghatta National Park, near Bangalore, Karnataka, was founded in 1970 and declared as a national park in 1974.In 2002 a portion of the park, became a biological reserve, the Bannerghatta Biological Park.
